Layla ("Layla," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy and handling personal information responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our website, archetype quiz, waitlist, results pages, and related services (collectively, the "Platform").

By using the Platform, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

A. Information You Provide Directly

  • Identity & Contact: First and last name, email address.
  • Demographics: City, country, birth month, and birth year (used for age verification and archetype calculation).
  • Waitlist Information: Interest in early access and archetype results.

B. Quiz & Results Data

When you complete the Layla archetype quiz, we process:

  • Individual quiz responses and weighted scoring outcomes.
  • Assigned archetype results and personality dimension visualizations.
  • Interaction data with result pages (e.g., share actions).

C. Information Collected Automatically

  • Device & Technical Data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and referral source.
  • Usage Data: Session activity, clicks, time spent on pages, and conversion events via PostHog.
  • Security Data: Rate-limit logs and verification status from anti-bot tools like Cloudflare Turnstile.

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate & Verify: Deliver the quiz experience and verify that you meet the minimum age requirement (18+) to participate in the Layla community.
  • Calculate Outcomes: Use our proprietary logic to generate your archetype and dimension scores.
  • Manage the Waitlist: Provide updates on launch status and early access opportunities.
  • Platform Security: Prevent spam, bots, and fraudulent submissions through active rate-limiting and automated verification.

We use cookies and similar technologies to improve your experience:

  • Essential Cookies: For site functionality and security.
  • Browser Local Storage: We use localStorage to temporarily store your quiz progress and assigned archetype scores. This allows your results to persist as you navigate from the quiz to the result page or waitlist flow without requiring a login.
  • Analytics: We use PostHog to understand how users interact with our flows.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers essential to operating Layla:

  • Infrastructure & Database: Supabase (data persistence and rate-limit tracking).
  • Security: Cloudflare (CDN, Turnstile, and DDoS protection).
  • Product Analytics: PostHog (event tracking and UI optimization).

  • Waitlist PII: Retained as long as necessary for early access operations and outreach.
  • Operational Logs: Rate-limit counters and security logs are periodically purged once they are no longer needed for system integrity.
  • Deletion: You may request the deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

Depending on your location (such as Ontario, Canada), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, please contact our privacy lead at the email below.

Layla is based in Canada. Your information may be processed by our service providers (such as Supabase or Cloudflare) in the United States or other jurisdictions where privacy laws may differ from those in your home country.
